Bedroom “Monday” is the largest room, furnished with Volga linen fabrics, India Jane lamps and, in addition to the above, a sumptuous sofa. This easily fits the highend portable single bed to sleep the 11th guest and/or our 2 travel cots, if required. The spacious bathroom is equipped with a large monsoon shower and a decadent cast iron roll top bath, fitted with Lefroy Brooks hand-crafted taps.

Bedroom “Tuesday” offers a more contemporary style with a beautiful nickel king sized bed, backed with a panelled wall and warm low level lighting. The adjoining bathroom offers an enormous Lefroy Brooks basin with an extravagant monsoon shower. This bathroom is also furnished with grab rails, so is possibly best suited to any elderly or disabled member of the group.

Bedroom “Wednesday” holds a super king bed, a sofa bed and 2 other comfortable sofas. The room is multi-purpose, either an extremely large and indulgent bedroom with an additional seating area; or perhaps better to divide off the sitting room from the bedroom with the thick linen curtain, still allowing plenty of room for a couple in the bedroom and a small party in the sitting room; or deploy the sofa bed and create another bedroom. The room is dressed with Volga linens and a lovely Bronte by Moon throw. The en-suite bathroom is entered by ducking under the beam and through the original sliding cowshed door opening up to a cast iron roll top bath fitted with hand crafted Lefroy Brooks taps and a monsoon shower.

Bedroom “Thursday” is a little smaller but adorned with Chelsea Textiles fabrics, a beautiful Bronte by Moon throw, antique furniture and a king size bed. The traditional charm flows into the beautifully panelled bathroom which offers a cast iron bath fitted with Lefroy Brooks taps and a large monsoon shower.

Bedroom “Friday” can be used as a twin or super king room. It is situated in the old piggery, again a little smaller than Beds 1-3, but well-equipped with all the mod-cons and comforts required for a country break. The bathroom has a more eccentric ambiance with the roll top bath decked in old railway sleepers similar to those used in the Piggery of old, and a wonderful copper wash basin.

The Kitchen / Dining Room

The kitchen diner has high beamy ceilings and a glass frontage allowing the sun to stream through, whilst adorned with low level copper lighting and glass pendant lighting to ensure a more subtle vibe in the evenings.

The dining area holds a round farmhouse table suitable for 12 people with a couple of breakfast tables by the windows and a large smart TV. The kitchen itself is wellequipped with a large range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, 2 fridges, mini freezer, bluetooth beatbox, selection of fine bone china, plenty of wine glasses and tumblers, and all the mod cons you could require. We provide a good supply of essentials (including Nespresso capsules) which will be at your disposal.

The Sitting Room

The sitting room (refer to Bedroom “Wednesday”) is furnished with 3 large comfortable sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed) topped with Volga linen scatter cushions, a coffee table, desk and a large smart TV. There are board games at your disposal.

Outside Area and Parking

Outside there is a small grassed area front and back. In front of the Cowsheds is a large courtyard lined in ornamental pear trees and a traditional stone wall. Outside the dining room is a large teak table and chairs furnished with nickel lanterns, and a barbecue (please bring coals). To the exterior of the Cowsheds, we are growing a small orchard and you may well see our chickens roaming free and the children’s pony sheep in the paddocks beyond.

The Cowsheds have their own separate courtyard and plenty of space for parking of up to 10 cars, as well as their own separate entrance from the road. Please enquire if you need any additional parking.

Guest / Disabled access

The Cowsheds are all on one level, except a step up into the en-suite bathroom to Bedroom “Wednesday”. There is a small step up into each bedroom from outside with large double doors into all bedrooms except Bedroom “Friday”. Bathroom “Tuesday” also has several grab rails so is possibly best suited to any elderly or disabled members of the group. Please note that all of the bedrooms have outdoor access and Bedroom “Friday” has it’s own outdoor gravelled seating area. Please also note that Bedrooms “Monday”, “Tuesday” and “Wednesday” are integral, whereas Bedrooms “Thursday” and “Friday” are rather more self-contained, albeit just a few paces away from the communal areas.

Interaction with guests

Whilst our house is separate from the Cowsheds (next door, but one), it is just a stone’s throw away so we are very much available if needed.
